Under what circumstances is laminated glass used?
Laminated glass is a composite glass product composed of two or more pieces of glass with one or more layers of organic polymer intermediate film sandwiched between them. After special high-temperature preloading (or vacuum pumping) and high-temperature and high-pressure process treatment, the glass and intermediate film are permanently bonded into one.
Even if the glass breaks, the fragments will be stuck to the film, and the broken glass surface will remain clean and smooth. This effectively prevents the occurrence of fragment stabbing and penetrating falling events and ensures personal safety.
Laminated glass is recommended for the following situations:
The area of single piece of glass for floor spring door and window is greater than 1.5m2, and the area of single piece of glass for framed door is greater than 0.5m2;
French windows whose bottom edge of glass is less than 500mm away from the final decoration surface;
Frameless door and window glass;
Entrance and exit doors of public buildings;
Doors of kindergartens or other places for children's activities;
Inclined window and skylight;
External windows of buildings with 7 floors and above.
