What are the requirements for U-shaped glass installation?
We all know that U-shaped glass has high mechanical strength, and the use of U-shaped glass with steel wires can play a good safety protection effect on the walls of middle and high-rise buildings; U-shaped glass is quite stable for acid, alkali and high humidity effects. Therefore, grooved glass can be used in buildings with anti-corrosion requirements; U-shaped glass is easy to assemble. As a wall or roof material, it can be vertical, slope, single-row or double-row devices, can be used as a large-area glass curtain wall in large buildings, can add a large number of daylighting areas, has many functions such as decoration and construction, and is a multi-purpose building component. There are the following requirements for U-shaped glass devices:
(1) The end face and plane of U-shaped glass shall be free of serrated notches or cracks.
(2) Each individual U-shaped glass member shall be supported on a gasket with uniform elasticity.
(3) There must be no hard contact between glass and adjacent metal parts, concrete and mortar structures.
(4) It is necessary to leave gaps between the upper end of U-shaped glass and higher building parts (such as lintel, girder, roof panel, etc.).
(5) The air gap between the upper end of U-shaped glass and the adjacent superstructure should not be less than 25mm, so as to perfunctory its deformation and facilitate device replacement.
(6) It is necessary to fill the longitudinal seams between U-shaped glasses with elastic sealing materials.
(7) Sealing materials, usually two-component polysulfide plastic, silicon copper glue, flexible PVC profiles, etc., are used for sealing between U-shaped glass and fixing parts and U-shaped glass strips.
(8) Round rope for sealing between U-shaped glass and frame.
(9) Strip gaskets, flexible PVC profiles, bituminous strips, rigid foam plastics, etc., used as expansion joints and sliding joints between U-shaped glass and frame.
(10) Expansion bolts for fixing the frame.
